CAN A GIRL WITH ARMPIT HAIR BE ATTRACTIVE? 
Inevitably last tuesday when i went to the pool with my friend sarah who also has hairy pits, we cleared the hot tub in no less than 3 seconds—TWO SEPARATE TIMES all because because we put our arms up, revealing a patch of unkempt unshaven hair beneath our arms. it has literally become a social experiment to us—how long does it take for people to become SO uncomfortable by our hair that they leave. It usually starts with them gawking, then trying to “subtly” nudge their friends, then nervous giggling then just leaving. Other ladies get incredibly touchy in the face of awesome empowered sensual hairy ladies. I am by no means passing judgement on women who decide to shave, i am however, drawing attention to the fact that women (and men) become almost fearful of a woman who does not succumb to certain beauty standards. I think that its because they’ve never thought of not shaving. I know i certainly didn’t think about my “choice” (what IS choice judith?) (<—-judith butler reference…i AM a nerd) to start shaving when i was about 12 (ugh, nightmares). It’s just interesting to see how offended people get by something so natural. (yeah yeah i know, what else is new) 
also i got a cute strapless dress, fuck the world, hail satan?

But srsly, I don’t even quite understand from whence the grossness supposedly derives. There are a lot worse things that can be communicated to you in a hot tub than someone’s sweat, and that’s gonna be there ANYWAY, regardless of hair, I mean… whut?
